Description of Services:
Support programs and services for people living with Alzheimer's disease and other dementias, Mild Cognitive Impairment (MCI), and their care partners.

  • First Link Learning Series and Social Work Support One-on-one and group supports for people living with Alzheimer's disease and other dementias and their families and care partners
  •  
  • Mild Cognitive Impairment (MCI) - Learning the Ropes Learning the ROPES for Middle Cognitive Impairment (MCI)Six weekly 2-hour sessions for people experiencing MCI and their care partners focusing on optimizing cognitive health through lifestyle choices, memory training and psychosocial support.  
  •  
  • Public Education Programs By providing information on Alzheimer’s disease and other dementias we can help those not yet on the dementia journey reach an earlier diagnosis and provide strategies for families living with dementia.
  •  
  • Social Recreation and In-Home Recreation Volunteers Social stimulation for both the person living with dementia and the care partner is important throughout the journey of the disease * suitable for individuals with early-to mid-stage Alzheimer’s disease or other dementias * must be registered as a client and undergo a brief assessment prior to participation

About Us

The Alzheimer Society Southwest Partners offers a wide range of programs and services designed for individuals with dementia and/or memory concerns, their family, caregivers, and health professionals, as well as the general public. At ALZSWP, both the individual and the family are provided with support upon diagnosis and throughout the continuum of the disease.
