Post Rehab Exercise for Stroke (PRES) – Canadian Centre for Activity and Aging – Western University
The goal of this workshop is to provide senior fitness instructors with the tools to develop and instruct a community-based physical activity program for stroke survivors after discharge from rehabilitation. PRES is based on the CCAA research examining the effectiveness of the Fitness and Mobility Exercise (FAME) Program, which has shown to improve balance, endurance, and walking speed in stroke survivors. Length: 6 hours, Prerequisite(s): training in one or more CCAA workshops FFOA, RCET, FF ADP or SFIC is recommended, Registration Fee: $150.00 + applicable provincial tax.
